Can I ask a question right away. I am a beginner welder and have purchased a used 180 sd welder. It worked great for about 6 months but, now it will not put out full amp. I found out that if I set it up to 180 amps it will put out 55amps when the foot pedal is pressed full. Could the trouble be the foot pedal or the control board.

Hey mate,

Welcome to the show. I would give miller a ring, they have good tech support.

Sounds like a foot pedal adjustment or something.
Might give miller techs a call(unless they want to charge you) ;)
Or you could ask someone at the Miller forum(I know they don't charge you) :)

Good luck,
~John
