Welding Tips and Tricks

Hey guys I was asked if I could weld some mods on a walker like the one in the pic, now I know its aluminum but how do you tell what type or is there a particular filler rod u can use as a general pupose rod. Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!!!

First know that your insurance will not cover a repair like this....keep it off the books. In order to modify a walker you should only do bolt ons, although this is still probably not advised.
I might have welded on one in the past and might have used 4043.
