Welding Tips and Tricks

Need help setting pules no an everlast 200dx. I have the welder set on low pulse, pulse frequency at 1 pulse a seconds, the pulse amps at 33 and the pulse time on at 33. The problem I'm having is that that apps jump around on the display screen and I am unable to set the amps where I want them. The numbers it displays are anywhere from 30 to 130 it just jumps randomly. Is this normal or could there be something wrong with my welder? It welds and pulse just fine I just can't set the amps to the amps I want.

in my manual for 250ex turn turn pulse off set amps. turn on and it starts random sampling till arc initiated.
