Nice. I just got a flexlock myself and fitted it with CK's steady-grip control. Love it so far.
I think you'll be very happy with yours.
Cheers.

One thing to remember about the Flex-Loc is the head is not being cooled on the water cooled version, so it does get hot very fast if you're testing it's limits. The plastic nut that secures the head will melt for sure if you touch your work and if you run it long at max amps, it will melt from the inside out. Ask me how I know this, I've melted 3 so far and have one made out of Plasti-dip on my torch at work right now.

Also if you use a stubby gas lens on the 3 series head it lowers your max amps to around 140 or less before it goes into melt down. You soon be paying attention to interpass temps on your Flex-Loc. :) I can't put a cap pass on a 3" sch. 80 pipe without stopping to let the torch cool. That's with my gas cooled one at work, I've not tried the water cooled one I have at home for anything that big. Lately I just use the old 17 torch to put the cap on if I'm working in the shop and reserve the Flex-Loc for any tight places I need to weld out in the plant.

Other than that, it's my favorite torch to date and I love the super flex hoses.

Thanks for the info Len, I also got this for tight spaces which seem to be the norm lately...lol I'll be running low amps in most cases 60 and under it also the air cooled version with the Superflex.

Surper flex hose,good stuff.
Flex Lok don't push the amps/duration on air cooled.

My 250 FL water cooled willl weld 250 amps with 1 in beads in 1/2 alum with short breaks/pause to cool.

I have series 2 and series 3 heads, they interchange on both torches, Series 3 bigger/heavier but ups the amp duration somewhat.
Both are 20 style torches.

With the shortest back cap and ability to swivel all angles damm near as good////better than micro torch in most situations. Add a pyrex style cup and those tight places get easier to do. The Torch head will go on either side of the handle angle.
