All that I will tell you is that I am using a fairly high pulse setting-I'm sure some people will ask why I am using pulse for aluminum with filler.

Nope.

I like having pulse for aluminum. Especially thinner sections.

Me too, when welding Aluminum I often use pulse on both TIG and MIG. I have to also guess that manufacturers put it there for a reason!

Your welds look pretty good

I manually pulse on aluminum with the foot pedal to get welds like these. 6061 aluminum :) . Anodized is a whole different animal :evil:

Thanks for the replies. It's nice to know others are pulse welding aluminum. I was under the impression you should not do that. John

If you have pulse available, DEFINATELY use it on aluminum. I suppose once you're past 3/16" thickness, it matters little, but if you're welding sch. 5 aluminum pipe, pulse is your friend!
