Hi all,
Just joined the forum and did a search on "third hand" with no apparent results so I thought I'd put one up myself...I just made it up tonight.
It's All stainless, the pipes about 60mm OD x 8mm thick(apologies to those who haven't converted yet :D )so plenty of weight in it...now all I need to do is find a use for the other 9 metres

In case you're wondering, the washer is for demonstration purposes only...

Holy cow! Looks like you spent some time on that weld buildup, what is it?

You mean the aluminum? I was just playing with the pulse feature. I had never used it before and I thought I'd give it a try. I had some free time and I was board.

These "weights" come in various sizes, 4lb seems about right. Cheap, but very hard to drill, 30 seconds with Tig torch on DC solves that.

This is a 6"x6" square plate 2" thick, 3/8" stainless round stock as the "finger" and "legs", with 1-1/4" ball bearings as the "feet" tig welded with 625 Inconel filler...

I love it! They look like little creatures that want to walk off, reproduce on their own and take over. LOL!
