OK The Ti tubing was a bust. Got the materials in for the job from customer...... SS on the economical side and have this piece here. 2 into 1 merge collector that someone put together. Nice welds on tube flanges but what happened on the merging tubes? Wire feeder? Do I need to just cut and Tig it to make sure it doesn't crack apart?

Looks like they bought a merge already fabbed, it was mig welded pretty hot, I'd say in spray transfer. Should hold just fine...it would be quite a job to cut out and reweld TIG, not knowing what your going to run into once you start removing the weld.

It is stainless right?

Tig welding over top of or in the HAZ area of a mig weld is usually a pain. Lots of contamination that wants to come to the surface I.E. holes and scum.
