I just got word that a customer is bringing me a roll cage that is made from T45 seamless tubing. I just wanted to see if anybody has any experience with it and see what welding rods they recommend to use, i was told that it should weld just like 4130 chromoly tubing but i'm not sure, so i figure i would see what you guy think.
thanks for your time

One real difference with 4130 though:
"Unlike other materials that are high strength the BS 4T45 tube does not require any pre nor post heat treatments. Unlike other material such as 4130 / 25CRMO4 Chrome Moly, which are close in terms of mechanical strengths but not chemical makeup, do require these processes." - proformancemetals.co.uk
Though pre and post treatment for 4130 is complete voodoo most of the time...
