have .035 wire will that work ok in 1.0 mm tip

1mm = .0394 so it would be similar to running. 03 wire through a. 035 tip.

The answer to that question is probably moot by now but ...

Why not get some 0.035" contact tips - or 0,9mm? 1mm will work, it is just pre-worn.
