too much weld

thanks in advance -
I have miller211 - flux core 030 - and too much weld material - I have used the chart but just am not happy with product -
3 things to adjust - speed of hand, Amperage, wire feed speed -
I have gone up and done the dial and this new rig is frustrating - older Lincoln rig with 030 flux - stacked dimes nicely - experience level is moderate to making a living with sticks -
I run it off trailered 225 bobcat in 120v setup - dcen - but in the end I am spending way too much time trying to get the "sizzle" dialed in.... help thanks

Is it possible that it could work on dcep? I know that some wires now days are a bit more versatile

don't forget voltage.
i found some flux core wires can have a very narrow sweat spot.

i assume your using self shielded flux core ???

Wire feed speed is the amperage.

Volts adjusts the puddle profile and arc length for self shielded flux core.

Did you verify the numbers as being self shielded wire?

I've seen people get 71t-1 thinking it's the same as 71t-11

Don’t be afraid to experiment. Remember, that setting on the door is nothing more than a starting point or suggestion. Try to get dialed in on scrap, it helps[emoji1303]
