Auto Arc by Hobart

Hello everyone. I have a question. I dont know much if anything about the Auto Arc. Are they a respectable machine for home use? I found this one for sale locally, and he says that it has an issue. What do you guys think the issue might be, and would this be worth purchasing? Thank you

Most likely they switched from FC to Shielded wire and didn't change the polarity. There's probably nothing wrong with the welder. For that price, I'd probably ask to see it at least power up, maybe see it spit and sputter, (don't tell them how to fix it), then buy it. But make sure it at least puts out power.

Thank you for your response. I was thinking it might be worth a shot, and possibly good for small projects around the house

It also has no gas nozzle on it.
