We use 75/ 25 gas to mig mild steel the problem is it wont go to full spray. It was suggested that a 90/10 mix will allow both short arc for thinner stuff and full spray for the thicker jobs.
Thanks

Hi Mike H,

I have used 10% CO2/90% Argon for spray transfer but have not tried it for short circuit transfer. Here is a detailed read on shielding gases which might provide some insight. http://www.weldreality.com/MIG_welding_gases.htm

What's the voltage and wirespeed?
On job, i easily run spray with a 82/18 gas Ar/Co2 (standard mix-gas in Denmark)
Alot of webpages describes their gas-mixes. I know for sure, that a 92/8 will do really great, both with short arc, and spray.
