I think this is one of the only ones I have on my computer that is not on here. I was going to start that thread on the "The Best of..." for the best looking welds we can put down and I never got any further than talk. Anyway I do not know the settings off hand on this one, I do know it is .052.

Well they say to stick with what you know. I am not the best at the mig like tig and much prefer the baby butt smooth welds.weldin mike 27 wrote:Wow,

Hey,
Dave, glad to hear. We are a very big Country, but everything is spread out. Plan a month or so for a bit of a look.

Because the tig look is so attractive, I don't think that will ever fade out, especially for what you are doing. I will admit it is sexy and it is a skill.

Here's one I did with My Clarke 160EN I had.
Welds are on a s13 240sx Control Arm. Reinforcement on bottom with 1/8" mild steel plate. Not great but not bad for HF welder.
I tried to do the TIG Scallop that you could make with a mig gun( "MIG like TIG"), almost a year ago....... I could only try and work with it running cold though> Also it helped that I was using the schools Miller XMT 304

Nice... That's a great saying !!I don't usually weld, but when I do people usually gather taking notes and pictures"
I agree with mig should look like mig and tig should look like tig. Don't get me wrong...some of the guys that do and do it well and it looks great.
What if your mig looks like tig? By your philosophy my mig should look like mig but if my mig looks like tig then my mig shouldn't look like tig because tig should look like tig and mig should look like mig but my mig looks like tig so its all screwed up.Kevinstj wrote:Nice... I think a lot of people judge appearance instead of quality. Different people have different techniques and different appearances.
It's always best to build your own, especially when it comes to hitches!!!
