Hi everyone, I had to custom make a cash bar the other day. I'm just curious to what people think to my welds? I use a sealey mig 180/1, the metal is just some square tubing I got I think it's just steel tubing. My settings I used we're heat 2/3 and my wire speed was on 9..

I made sure all metal was cleaned and a good earth point also..

So what does everyone think?

You may want to turn your heat up or turn your feed speed down some.

Weave half moons using a push gun technique. "Up.. back up.. back up.. back.. up etc... should help flatten the bead along with the other reply to heat up.. wire speed down . Push the gun

something to be aware of when using that technique is LOF (lack of fusion ) watch MiG welding tricks and tips #4 for the best explanation. I actually only recently learned that the technique I recommended is probably the worst one. when the thickness of material is less like what youre using then this would not be as much as a concern I would think. anyways here's the link to the video.
