While I don't see welding positions on their website at the moment, I'd put a resume' in at MECO,
http://www.meco.com/about-meco/employment
They pay well and seem to have a good work environment.
Also try Phoenix Energy Services, on 190 in Goodbee, a half-mile east of 1077.
I'll ask around on Monday, and might be able to give you a few that are known to be hiring.

My search for a website or # came up blank, also.

There is now a job available in Slidell.
The company is Elite Cryogenics, and is where I work.
They have opted to hire through a staffing agency, "Treo", but if you have the right qualifications I might be able to get you a direct-hire interview.
The most basic requirements are TIG on SS pipe, and MIG on carbon/stainless structure, and mechanical aptitude.
Additional skills that will make a standout candidate include pipefitting, fabrication, instrument fitting, and electrical. Not all (or any) are required, but each is a plus.
