Can anybody in las vegas nevada weld with innershield wire paticularly nr-233 1/16 inch diamiter.my company is looking for a welder who can use this wire in all positions to weld in the field doing structural steel everybody that comes by the shop who says they know how to use it always makes a few vertical passes that look like my grandpas hemoroids and dont get the job.i cant believe that with all of these out of work welders we cant find a welder

Kermdawg, that's kind of my point. Not the per diem, so much, but I'll bet this job is 40 hrs and wouldn't be at all surprised if it starts at $12 or less.
Admittedly, innershield isn't hard, but it isn't fun, so people who've done it before would like to make more next time.
You get what you pay for.
Sooner or later someone will be hungry enough to do the job for the money, but it takes patience to find that guy.

Ya its a tough time to be in the trades right now. 10 bucks an hour aint even unemployment dude, hell hop on the 2 year obama job creation plan, aka 2 years of welfare, and wait it out. Thats my plan
400 a week take home for sittin on my butt all day? Shit. Why work when all the jobs in the trades are payin 10 bucks an hour?
On a side note, thats why I dont beat around the bush on the interview. I always ask what they are lookin to pay, just ballpark, so we aint wastin each others time. They dont like it ill pack my shit down the road but I think the straight and too the point attitude says alot about ya.
edit- otto, thats an AWESOME site, aint found that one yet, threw out a couple resumes on it though.

Even during the leanest times, there was always at least some shipyard work. The downside is the number of headhunter agencies who collect resume's and rarely call.
http://www.constructionworkers.us is a search engine dedicated to job posts. I prefer to use the "super search" option. I enter "weld per diem" under "what", and leave "where" blank, and usually get many postings. Check the post date at the bottom of each listing.
http://www.indeed.com can be used the same way.
If you'll follow the "hot projects" section of the forum

Some employers that have work or are going to have work in the future, note no locations cause these companies have work nation wide-( i will update when I get the chance, hard to remember all the places ive applied at over the last year.)
