What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

I recently ran across some reclaimed Douglas Fur a few weeks back for a somewhat reasonable price. It came off a dam when the dam was torn down and supposedly is around 90 years old. I'm not much of a wood worker but I wanted to try my hand at building an industrial table. Here is what I've come up with so far...

The base is tig welded with regular ER-70 but all the 'face' welds are silicon bronze.

I'm back on the dinning room tressel table today. I'm really happy with the way the stretcher turned out. I brought it inside to get an idea of how it will look. I'm leaning towards just clear coating it. What do you guys think?

Very nice. I have a large oak live edge slab, router planed, that at some point I need to build the table undercarriage for. I was thinking of something along the line of yours and now I see how good it looks. The "rivet" look is distinctive and I wondered if you epoxied on short carrage bolts in pre drilled holes or used something different?

Fantastic work. I not long finished a table for my Mother in Law, similar design but gloss black powder coating and an old door for the top.

Lol, a dunny door gave me the idea. This one was second hand so it may well be one. No malice intended with mine though

The table is almost complete. I ended up sending the base out to be painted satin black.

The pink tool bench is my 2 young daughters. I try to give them projects to do while I'm out working.

The breadboard ends are drawboard mortis a tenon joints.
