I put my oscilloscope on my welders. Outside of that, you are the "tester".

Lots of motor rebuild shops can load test a welder.

You guys are being silly now. You know very well the OP means weld not welder testing.

He probably means some kind of combined mechanical and sonic tester like this:

You hit the weld and if it doesn't fall off it passes the mechanical test. At the same time if it sends out a clear note, it passes the sonic test. If the sound is dull that means there are inclusions and you have to grind it out.

Where can i buy one! Does it work on other things? Like my car?

It was developed and available, l believe, in California where other methods of inspection are known to be carcenogenic.
Be aware that ever since Nick Fury put his eye out weld testing on the flying carrier, it's mandatory you wear non carcenogenic safety glasses.
