I wanted more features and control so I turned my machine into a DX model. Works perfectly so far

What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Interesting, I didn't know one could do that to the regular 280.dzljon wrote:Bought the parts and turned my machine into a dxOscar wrote:Aka you bought a 280dx, or did you do some kind of front-plate retrofit and upgrade a PCB in the regular 280?

By the look of your pics, you obviously appreciate top notch equipment and are prepared to bone up for it. May I suggest you invest in the Miller wireless peddle next. You'll appreciate the upgrade and never go back to a corded peddle.
Flat out like a lizard drinkin'

Most people say that, but in reality we will still have a tie back to the machine, and limited to the length of the tig torch. Just sayin'...not that getting rid of a pedal cord won't free on thing up...it just won't free us entirely.robtg wrote:+1 on the wireless pedal from Miller. Expensive but works flawlessly. Would not go back to a corded one.

Well until a wireless tig torch becomes available...if that was possible Oscar would have already made it!TraditionalToolworks wrote:Most people say that, but in reality we will still have a tie back to the machine, and limited to the length of the tig torch.
