What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

I work on most anything....
But the shop I went to, used to be a heavy equipment shop, and there's lots of parts around.
That's why I was hired to put shelves in these connexs....
More pics tonight.

4inch by 3inch, 1/16 wall tubing.
Used what was around.
It'll work.
This pic is 3inch by 3/8 thick flat bar, used to cap the ends of the tubing.
I'm telling you, It'll work.

Capping the ends of the tubing.
1/16 wall tubing, to 3/8 flat bar.
1/8 8010 @ 70amps.
Then I'll weld the little "pad-eye-hooks" to the cap plate.

The shelf in the tubing is for the plywood, when I get the other one in.
This box is 20ft.
I have 3 other 40ft ones to do, little bit different....
These connex's are full of engine parts ETC!!!!!
It is begging for shelves, lots of wasted space.
Gonna be taking a while, its a part time job, I work on it when I have time.

Unusual to have 4wd - is that a conversion or a factory fit by whoever built the loader - not seen one quite like it - " Roadless " amongst others sold a 4wd kit here - fairly rare now as most were exported to " bongo" land many years ago - they fetch good money now if you can find one & a clean 5000 or 7000 makes silly money - first tractor I drove regularly was a super Major - real luxury with electric start after the petrol / TVO high major ( E27N )

It's a special model.
Got a Shawnee loader system on it.
Had a bad knock, I never heard, but the guy said it so bad, we shouldn't start it.
So, took the oil pan off....took a whole day to get it off.... Nothing...
Two bolts, and the valve cover was off.
Look and behold!!! One of the valve springs was compressed and stuck down.
So.....
I'll be working on it tomorrow.

That's no problem....
In your opinion, should a guy go through and grind all the valves???
This one valve, we beat it down and pried it back up for a while, so it moves freely.
Was thinking of topping her of with atf, running it for 20mins, than drain it, and then 15-40....
Since you sound like an engine man, whats your take on it???
Man!!! hi-jacking my own thread....

John- If it were me the next step is pull the head. The cylinder you found the collapsed spring in probable has a piston top that looks like you took a chipping hammer to it. (if it even still has a top) Check (mic) the crank and plastic-gauge the bearing on the rod too. Check the wrist pin. This kind if thing can do a lot of damage you can't see with your naked eye my friend.
Send the complete head to a machine shop if you don't have the tools and do the valves, seats, guides and seals. A set of springs would be a good idea too., (others may be getting ready to go)...If you don't it WILL be back to haunt you.
Back to our regularly scheduled program.

Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
Well that would be proper. But I your case I bet there isn't much for engine shops around. And the guys that use this porbebly don't use it every day?
If they don't I would pull the head and check the top of the cylinder for any damage. That old of a machine shouldn't be a tolerance motor. With that the valve. Unless the spring was broken there would be no problems.
So me I would get by checking all valves with the head off and only do what's needed. Unless its an everyday machine with a ton of hours. With a stuck valve and good spring I doubt it. Just my opinion on a farm type tractor.
