What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

My wife likes fall colors. So I went to the shop awhile back and made her a maple branch in fall colors. Textured the main branch under the power hammer, cut the leaves out, attached stems, welded to branch, colored and clear powder coated. Her liked it :)
I cut the angels in the heart on the plasma table color them and powder coat clear. I like to give these to places and/or people involved in cancer treatment. I attach a little brass sign made by the local trophy shop that says "Angel's work here". It is true that Angels work in places like that and I learned to love those caring people when they were treating my wife.

Bill,

"Some of my junk" sounds more like a share from the Tinder app than a share of real craftsmanship.
I think you should take more pride than that.
I remind myself how awesome my job is, every day. BUT I have no idea how to make steel look like Maple leaves in Autumn.

Respect your own craftsmanship. You deserve to, because you're GOOD.
