What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Got tired of buying a new grill every few years so I gutted the junky steel parts out of this one and replaced everything in stainless. Burners were already stainless but the cross tube was mild and rotted out. The cross tube is a spear from a keg and the burner shields were part of an old table I rebuilt for my friend. Sorry but I had to use it to see how it worked. Works way better now than ever and the stainless should never rust out. All I need to do is fab up a new drip pan and this baby should last awhile. All TIG welded too..no fasteners. Sorry about the sideways pic. 8-)

Don't you love how cheap crap is these days? If only they had welders on staff... Quality and pride will save this country, if people can grasp those concepts.

Looks good, and good thinking!

Hey thanks! I didn't post this to show off anything, I posted this to give others ideas to prolong the life of things with our welding/fabricating skills. This "lifelong burners" POS grill fell apart in 2 years and there are no replacement parts for it other than the universal replacement parts that they bend you over for. The chinese can take a flying leap...if I am forced to buy their garbage, I will soup it up and make it last so I never have to buy another one. .....with my American made tools 8-)

 Yeah...a houseflies life I guess! I avoid chinese if at all possible but it has become hard in this country to find anything not made there. Its pretty sad when some retarded old repair guy can out-engineer the chinaman.

About the only thing in America NOT made in China, is Mexicans.

I bet they're working on it, though.

But if you pick up China and look on the bottom, there's a sticker that says "made by Chuck Norris."
