What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

Hello, this is my latest job, Customer wants 4 or 6 inches taken out of the table I will find out tomorrow which. its 2inch square tubing unknown wall thickness, I need to remove the center brace and then after shortening put it back. I welded some stainless, then put a finish using scotch bright pad seems to duplicate the finish well. ? should I put a square tube inside when I butt them up in the middle, stronger? pull some heat away from the stainless less movement? just thinking it over, start it tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for looking. Op

From what I can see, it would be impractical to back-purge this weld, so if you can fit some square tube inside, you would avoid "sugaring" the back side of the weld, and get a stronger weld. If you CAN back-purge, the extra metal from sleeving the weld won't add any real strength.
