I love the idea of using the energy from the sun and welding with it. I have a small Lincoln electric tig welder that plugs into 110. I run it from a 2000 watt pure sine wave inverter. Ive got a bank of deep cycle batterys that is charged by 10 -100 watt solar panels. If the suns shinning I can weld all day long. If im welding after the sun sets I can go several hours. More than enough for anything Ive got going at the house. Plus I just love the idea.
