I'm not sure even a blood offering to Hephaestus can help with pot metal but my brother bet me a case of Newcastle I couldn't fix these drawer handles so I accepted the challenge. Initially I thought they were brass but turns out they're painted pot metal. I don't think they are plated because the finish peels and flakes like shitty paint. I made a fixture to hold them aligned and drilled out the broken dinguses. Made new pieces from a welding rod and epoxied them in. A little touch up paint and it's beer o'clock
Cheers.

What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

I like to say, "If it's difficult, it'll be ready Thursday. If it's impossible, it'll be ready Friday."exnailpounder wrote:x2...I love it when someone says it can't be done ...and I do it anyway. Drink that beer Eldon.Otto Nobedder wrote:Enjoy that Newcastle!
