Arm rest

Has anybody made homemade arm rests for like tug looking for ideas guys thanks

well if your welding in a shop what i did was take an old jackstand and weld a piece of plate to the top i mainly use it for armrest when cutting it works great because you can swing your arm around to cut nice radiuses i have used it for welding to an it does just fine there to.now out in the field i use c clampsyou'll be surprised at how many ways you can clamp them to suport your arm when in funny places.

I scooped a pretty decent high back wooden -leather upholstered dineing room chair ( no arms ) from the dump. I built a metal base with a footrest -installed 4 - 3in caster wheels. The height was set to be comfortable for me when working on small projects on my layout/welding table. I soon came to find it made a great armrest also. Just turn the chair backwards and it easily moves around to act as an arm rest and when the job is done just spin it back around -sit down and admire your work. Works for me. :P

Often use regular pipe stands.
