Vise Grip Crank Handles

I added some bent rod to the adjustment screws of my vise grips to be like ones made by other brands. For essentially zero cost it really increases the utility of the pliers. They are much faster/convenient to use and you can adjust the pressure one handed. I recommend trying it if you haven’t already.

you will end up having to weld a nut on the end of the pliers, at least on the clamps, when the threads wear. I have done this to all of my clamps. It makes them much easier to use.

Chuck,
Great idea. My favorite vise grip style clamp is a Strong Hand drill press clamp, it came with a factory crank handle. Like the one’s you added. It’s my favorite because of the crank.
Now that I have seen your idea I will retrofit the few other miscellaneous vise grips with a crank handle.
