What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

love seeing all the projects and ideas on here. always amazes me what some guys can think up. thought i'd put up some stuff i build around here. nothing fancy or complex but it's the first time i've built a complete set of railings where none were already in place (as in i had a template to guide me). pretty happy with them and learned a few things. built them off-site and needed a few 'visits' to refresh my mental plan (ya know... the 3-D cad drawing in my mind that i'm able to skillfully reproduce in stick-figure/sharpie form lol)... but overall pretty happy with the results

very nice work, boss. I am contemplating some railings for my friends house. They will be straight and only a few steps high, once he gets his flag laid the way he wants it.

nice job.
i like how the short corner railing bit doesn't stop on the very end of the step. that way you can make full use of the step for the turn. nice touch.
tweak it until it breaks

thanks guys. i was pretty happy with the result. and definitely learned a lot. most things i do are measured in 0.001"s and double checked with a machine plate/square... but this was a lesson in measuring 3or4 times, tacking it up, and then tweaking it until... 'little more, little more, ok that LOOKS about right'. and i was dealing with what i'd consider exceptionally consistent and true concrete work!
