z-style stool

Planning a simple project. Could use some knowledge about the strength of square tubing.
dont know if anyone here have heard anything about a thing called millimeter, but my plan was to use 3mm wall thickness tubing(50x50) for the diagonal tube + one side of each square to which the diagonal tube is welded to. All the other sides on squares and everyting else would be out of 1,5mm wall tubing to keep the weight down. Does this sound about right?
Also thought about adding something(flat bar) to strenghten these 2 crytical welds, but then again, maybe better to leave it be, and make it a test of my welding skill.
