Barn door joint question

I am making up 2 doors for a barn, gonna be hinged on one side and swing open like a normal set of doors. Anyway I have a design but just wondering if I should be chamfering the edges of the tubing before welding. Or will a butt weld be strong enough? 2”x2” 1/4 and 3/16 aluminum. Was going to spoil gun weld it due to the amount of welds I have to do. All 4 sides of every joint will be welded.

If it is a butt weld end to end then it’s probably best to bevel the walls to ensure full penetration. Multiple benefits, if you grind down the weld a bit for a finished look then your left with more weld. Also doors tend to be high stress. Lots of weight working with gravity overtime and the slamming and flexing as you open and close takes a toll.
