My old rig was basically a f350 single cab pick up with my welder thrown in the back, so for me , im ridin in style. let me know what you think. took me a little less than a week, still a few things to add. I build and pipe in irrigation pump stations for golf courses, hence the large bed.

Were you the one that built the bed, or just mounted it on the truck ??

built the bed from start to finish. (except tool boxes, bought those). I used 6" channel for the outer frame, 4" channel for the cross members spaced about every 12", 3" structural channel running the lenght of the frame, Full 4' x 8' x 1/4" sheets of tread plate and 2" square tubing for the rack and rails.a 2' X 8' X 1/4" steel tread plate for the back as a work area. for the bumper i used 3" channel for a frame and sheeted it with 1/4" tread plate. Mounted it to the frame with 3/8" x 4" flat stock welded to the bed and bolted to the frame. I used a U-bolt by the fuel tank to mount to the frame. Made me nervous welding to close to it. The actual dimensions of the bed are 10' long X 8'-5" wide. It is a wide sucker but has proven handy.

Really smooth looking work man! What part of Florida are you in? Wife and I lived in the Tampa Bay are for 3 years--had to come back to Texas when the economy took a downturn.

This is awesome, man! How do you figure out how and where to put the mounting stuff? I'd love to see your plans or pictures of the full progression. Very inspiring!!!
