Dross removal made easy

I finally broke down last year and bought a CNC plasma table. It was probably the best investment I've ever made to say the least! If any of you have done much plasma cutting you know that there's inevitably small a mounts of dross/slag left on the part in some spots. Well.... I needed a quick way to remove it from all different size parts that didn't effect the edge quality of the part like a flap disc would. I looked into different methods like chemically removing it(too slow) flap disc(too inconsistent) file (too slow). A knotted wire wheel seemed to be the best solution but holding small parts down on the table to hit them was a pain. A bench grinder worked okay but just wasn't cool enough . So... I came up with this. It uses a 3hp old baldor motor to drive a 8" cable twist wire wheel. I also have different interchangeable guards to run a polishing wheel or 6x2 flap wheel. It works great! I probably use it more than any other too in the shop.
