Well Im just starting my new business Performance Metal Works and this is what i have been up to so far.Building Headers

Headers are on my "list" of things in want to build someday. Explain to us how you built them, what material, did you purge then inside etc . Great job!

Superiorwelding Thanks for the compliment. When building headers it is important to try to make all the tubes the same length. I start with the front port and figure out where it needs to run as not to interfere with anything also looking at where the other tubes need to run. it takes a lot of trial and error.I will only tack the joints on the tubes till i am satisfied with the header. i do not weld to the flange till last that way you can weld the tubes easier.I do not purge the tube to weld it. every thing is tig welded. I buy a random bend kit an the proper flange set from Schoenfeld and just start cutting and fitting. This set took me 40 hours to build. Hope this helps.thanks Dragsterguy

Nice work, to save some time I would recommend these. They are on my list. I used trimmed down pool noodles to mock up a set for a bike one to save some time but if I was going to be doing a lot of sets I would be snapping these up.

These guys sell parts, but also offer fabrication services. Their approach to fitting up with PVC and then building a support frame seems pretty clever. Interesting DIY videos:

I too think this would be a cool project to tackle - lots of craftsmanship. My kids are eager for me to use their cars for the project.

A little Rad repair. Had a crack in the tank at this mount.
