What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

I have been ask to make a cooking grate for a fire ring out of stainless. I have to make one 2'x2' and one 3'x3' out of 1/4" round stock. I am having trouble finding the ss at a reasonable price. I don't buy a lot of stainless so I am asking, what is the going rate for stainless now? I have a wide range of prices and I am trying to keep it cheap because it is for a friend and I don't want to do him wrong. I will post pics later.
It's always best to build your own, especially when it comes to hitches!!!

No idea what prime is.
Good luck, and mark up big time.

Have a look here; http://www.discountsteel.com/items/304_ ... nts=&qty=1The price you have is pretty high but then again, I don't know what UPS will run you. Let them cut the sticks in half will make shipping cheaper. 12' x 1/4 solid round is $7.05 each...
Go break something, then you can weld it back the right way.
The quote I got is from my steel supplier, so shipping is not a problem, I thought that seemed high but that is why I am asking

I had one place quote me a price of $4 a piece for the same stuff. I thought they were off their rocker but I might just go with them.
