Having been a woodworker for my whole life and running out of challenges in that industry, I was looking for a new adventure. Having never worked with metal before, this seemed to be the right thing to try.
I love to design, engineer, and build, and I love tools.
Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy tools that make you happy!
After looking at many different designs and options, and thinking about how I would be using a welding table, I sat down and drew up a design of my own. I wanted to build a table that would last me a long time, and I hoped to build it only once.
I also understood, that nothing good in life comes cheap!
Here are some pics of my welding table.

I wanted table top that would allow me to use strong hand fixtures and clamping solutions and a quickly removable and storable vise mounted to the table top. I had the top water jetted by a fab shop in our industrial park.

I store all the fixtures in the two drawer stacks below.
The table size is 40" (w) x 60" (l) x 38" (h), the top is 5/8" thick, the holes spaced at 4".
Thoughts and comments welcome!
