Did Jody ever post plans for that, here or on the main site? I know it was discussed, but were the actual plans posted anywhere? Or is it just the group of videos?
I was asked privately about this, and don't recall seeing actual plans.
Thanks,
Steve S

Steve, i saw this welding cart plan on WCWELDING.COM. It may be Jody's because of the mention of aerospace master fabricator. When i was looking for plans several weeks ago i found this site. (I will learn to weld first!) I went back to the site this am and took this from the text on the site:
"The following welding cart plans are simple, new, and are much more than a set of plans. You'll also get step by step directions. It's a 13 page step-by-step guide in all, making it a comprehensive and fun project you will benefit from for many years to come.
These cart plans were professionally designed. The designer is a 15 year master fabricator and engineer who specializes in the aerospace industry."
I think thereis a small fee for downloading the step by step plans, they may not even be Jody's plans but somehow I remember his name being attached during my original plans search.

Going back over Jody's videos (something I do often) he talks about the cart dimensions and scratches up a drawing. The risers are 38". 10" for the tanks. The center tray is probably down 19" from the top (1" more than half). His back wheels are 10" solid rubber mounted close to center of the tanks. This should give you a good shopping list but I'd still recommend watching the videos again and draw your own plans.
EDIT - this drawing is a screen snapshot out of one of Jody's videos. He mentioned he would have a better pdf of it up on his website someday. Life gets busy. I'm sure he will get to this ASAP. One thing he mentioned in the last video was this cart was very heavy and would be better if he used 1" square tubing. Something he said he might try and do for cart v2.

Anyone who feels the need to call themselves a master fabricator is trying to prove something, and probably is a bit lacking. Jody is at least 35 years into the industry, and never labels himself like that. PS I'm around 15 years in, and I'm not a master of anything.

I'm really great at having arguments about addition and subtraction. That makes me a legendary math debater. Sorry Goat Driver.

Mike, i don't think, not sure tho, the individual was referring to themselves as a master fabricator, rather the written words were by others. I have a Master License in HVAC, but THAT does not make me a Master. I think of myself as a perpetual student, the education never ends!

Life has a funny way of educating those who think that they've learned all there is to know and it usually takes awhile to heal.
I hated school but I've spent my whole life being a student in life's classroom.

I went to WCWELDING.COM and looked at the cart plans. That is NOT Jody's cart. Besides, Jody made no mention of a 3D CAD drawing. "No PhD's here!"
I'm still looking for it...anywhere.

My welding and cart project are not up to paint and photos quite yet.
Reading this thread reminds me of a quote from H. G. Wells, something like:
Human history is more and more a race between education and catastrophe.
Now back to grinding splatter and buildup around voids.
