Hello Kasper and welcome to the forums, congratulations on completing the 4yr course.
It may be helpful if you could tell us what metal working equipment you have available to work on this project.

Hi Richard,
Thanks.
Well, i have the choice to heat it up byt gas/oxi to twirl it if this is the best way.
Our school has in general all kind of tools and machines for us to use.
The grill i will weld together with MIG and TIG
The company im hired in as a intern/apprentice we do most of our work for a offshore company. NOV Flexibles that make flexible oliepipes most for seabed hookup. And we 99% use MIG so its fun to make other things when im at school. i got my last test in August this year.
a small offtopic question, what do you call my kind in the US? - metalworker, blacksmith or just welder?
We learn to weld offcourse, also use hydra-press and cnc-press, rollers ect to make a product.

I found this video, and in your case you'd just need to modify the jig to get the curvature your wanting as the spring goes from the outside edge to the midway point of the spring.
