The hardest part of lighting up on cast is the first 60 seconds. The whole time wondering if it’s going to pop or drop.
I have more questions than answers

Wow, I was just telling Josh in another thread, sometimes I feel like if it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all...

I guess today was not your lucky day.

That said, looks like you manage it dandy Richard. ;)

Yea there were areas that just didn't want to behave, but I got paid and the customer left happy ;)

Flange sets on 1.5" nom sched 40 steel pipe. That's half of it done. I'm doing the pipe cutting also, and tolerance is +0/-0.25". Lord as my witness, I wish I could get work like this every single day.

Dirty cast aluminum = $$$$
I'm getting $325 a piece from 3 different local marinas. Faired and painted. I do 3-5/wk.

Looks good, Jakedaawg! I certainly don't envy that type of welding, but sounds like you're making out well with it.

Testing Chromoly settings in a mock cluster of 1.5" tubing for a motorsports customer. Thick to thin wall requirement on a lot of the clusters, .063/.083. Little cold in some spots, little hot in others on this test cluster, but got it dialed in nicely after a few test runs for the customer's parts.
