So, how many of us are going to Fabtech 2016 in Las Vegas?

I'm going...it'll be my first Fabtech. Hoping to meet some of y'all there.

My vices are challenge enough here at home. Though I would love to go, what happens in Vegas will likely cause the court to make me stay in Vegas...

Seriously, though, not this year.

Bring that sucker to New Orleans, and I'll be up to my elbows in it.

Depends on my school schedule and finances. Would love to go as it's in my home state.

The hotels on the system recommended by Fabtech have good rates. I got three nights at $59 and only $89 for Friday night. With taxes and fees it came to $392. Total roundtrip airfare from TX was only $403. So, if I stay out of the casinos, and don't drink too much Guinness, I'll have a Fabtech vacation for around a grand. Pretty darn good, I think

Good budgeting, well considered.

Until you arrive at Fabtech, the Gruen Transfer takes over, and you find yourself scratching your head at how you've spent $5,200 on gear you suddenly 'had to have', it weights a total of 700 pounds and will cost you three months wages to ship back home.... ;)

Good point, Kym. Since self-control tends to evaporate at places like Fabtech, I guess the proper preventative is leave the high-limit credit cards at home.

If you are a CWI attending a Fab Tech counts as points for you not having to retake the exam every nine years. I don't know exactly how it works, but I did hear that.

I mentioned it to the shorter half and she packed my gear. She looked pretty disappointed that it wasn't until November. I'm trying to decide whether to drive or fly. Including the trip to the airport and back I can probably drive the 500 miles quicker.
I don't know it all but I'm working on it.
