And get that kid some gloves and a jacket.
A student now but really want to weld everyday. Want to learn everything about everything. Want to become a knower of all and master of none.

I wish I had one of those to slide under trucks and crawl into tight spaces that I have to shoe-horn myself into now.

They're great for reaching into little places if you drop a screw or a wrench bounces just out of reach.

Gotta give him a break on his filler. I didn't let him use my auto dark helmet so he's at some small disadvantage. Haven't found his size yet on the jacket and gloves. Haha

Thats awesome. Your kid will never forget the shop days with Dad, I know I still remember them with mine. They grow up so fast and then become HUGE pains in the ass ...like mine. Enjoy then when they are little :lol:

That's right. I regret not getting my kids involved in the shop. I had a large (70 employees) CNC machine shop but I was so tangled up in the running of it that I forgot some of the most important things a dad should do with his kids. Take your time with him and be patient, the dividends are HUGE!

Grow up fast is right.
Mine are now 19 and 6`2 and growing in uni for mechanical engineering
And 15, 5`11 still growing, year 10 with zero mechanical amplitude or sympathy (takes after his mother)..
Still trying to find out where the height comes from I'm 5`8 mums 5`6.......
If you want to squeeze them into tight spots, don't feed them :)

My dad always swore my brother Mike strongly resembled the milkman.

OTOH, I'm three inches taller than anyone in my family who wasn't adopted.
