welding stamped steel depends more on the kind of steel than the fact that it is stamped. Most stamped steel products are made from plain carbon steel and welding it is no more difficult than plain carbon steel that is not stamped.
other factors like zinc based coatings etc. on some stamped steel products like wheel casters can give you problems if you dont remove it, but just the fact that it is stamped just means it was formed.
thanks,
jody
