I would like to video my welding so I can watch and see what I'm doing wrong to improve. Hoping to post them to receive feedback on how to improve but I don't know how it is done. Can someone lead me in the right direction?thanks in advance.
no idea what so ever.
havn't seen anyone mention the tricks of the trade on that.
i know there is commercial cameras you can buy just for that.
however if someone could work out a way so that people could use cheap/phone cameras to record welds, i think there would be a huge market for distance learning.

To get a good shot of the weld you'll need a zoom lens to fill the screen, if you just put a weld lens (filter) in front of your phone/camera you'll start to understand how inadequate it is.
DSLR with a zoom lens, or a video camera.

Thanks for the info I'll give a few things a try back I can get some decent so y'all can help me improve my crappy Tig skills

I just tried to get a pic of a mount on my tractor yesterday and what a PITA. These modern IPhones don’t even have the macro capabilities of a cheap cell phone from 20 years ago[emoji37]

I take it you mean filming arc shots? I've had success filming arc shots with just a Sony Handycam with digital zoom placed behind a Viking hood (great color clarity) on about shade 13. Took a loooooong time to get it setup just right. Kind of a pain, IMO and I don't do it much more...lol. Good luck!
