What make and model machine would be a good all around truck mounted welder. I’m looking to buy used so no need to mention new models. I know diesel driven is more expensive and I also know this question is like asking what’s better Dodge, Chevy, or ford. I’ll answer that one for you...DODGE!!

Thanks in advance for the input.

Depends a lot on what processes are most important to you. Also consider the option of using a separate generator to run standard welder(s). That option is becoming a lot more cost efficient these days while also adding a lot of versatility.

...and you can run pretty much ANY welder off it. Even a 60A plasma cutter.

Anything you can afford? I mean that sincerely, if you've got a decent budget and some mechanical know how, then a SA-200. But I mean a ranger 225 will run roughly the same as a Trainblazer 325 minus the top end. We gotta know about your intended use,

Miller AirPak 200. Generator, welder and compressor in one. Bobcat, trailblazer are also good and plenty around used.
