What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

I'm making a mailbox out of one of those party helium tanks. It's coming along fine, but I cannot figure out a hinge for the door. The big box hinges that are narrow enough have quite a bit of slop in them and are the sturdiest designs when only one is used.

I was wondering if anyone has a design or know of a vendor that might have something that is fairly rigid laterally and narrow. Ideally it would mount on the inside but if exterior is the only way - so be it. Mostly if it can survive a mailman having a bad day, I'd be happy lol.

Thanks for looking.

A couple hinges like this might work:

You might need to make some blocks with tapped holes to mount them inside if you're trying to hide the hardware.

I've used roller chain in a bind before. Bout as narrow a hinge you can get. Like heavy bike chain? 60 chain would be 3/4" ish wide, or a sturdier 100 chain is around 1"

Something like this pic I googled, but they used double chain.
