Nice video once again, thanks! That master blaster looked cool. Propably handy tool btw
Nice way to make s6 tig wire Here on the other side of the world we need only to walk in first welding shop and put some money down to get S6 tig-wire. Ehehehe.. Anyway did you Jody notice any difference on welding with it, or more likely with "cosmetic" finish of weld?
It seemed that the video was a bit blur for some reason, so couldn't notice any difference.

The belt guard looked great but is the rest of the compressor going to get a facelift as well? Seems only fitting with such great workmanship.

I had a chance to see the compressor & guard in person this week ... it's a nice guard & the compressor is a little rough but it's doing the job for now. We have been comparing the S-6 TIG wire with S-2 & S-3 ... And it runs very well. The main thing we noticed was a more fluid puddle - it really has nice flow with a good bead appearance. You will see a little silicon floating on top of the weld puddle, but nothing of concern.
Another note - the S-6 is a bare wire & the S-2 & 3 were copper coated. Not sure if that will effect the shelf life or be more prone to rusting if it sits on the shelf for too long? Other than that, it really seems easier to weld with - doesn't stick in the puddle as much.
My two cents ..
