So I get a small bottle of argon to run with my mobile TIG set-up. My Everlast PowerArc 160 arrived on Thursday and I was out on Friday running it through the paces. But it's burning electrodes and little sparklers are coming off the arc. Seems to be running hot too. Not digging it a-tall. Turned out my bottle was argon/co2 mix. AARRGG! Back to the weld supply tomorrow for an exchange. Note to self: Check Everything.

BTW, that little PowerArc 160 is a cute little rig about the size of a toaster. And the Trailblazer 301G runs it like a champ. Nice.
