What welding projects are you working on? Are you proud of something you built?
How about posting some pics so other welders can get some ideas?

looking for ideas for building a bench grinder stand, something that takes up very little space and can be moved around without a lot of effort but stable at the same time
what have you built ?

Fit your top plate to your grinder, make stand from a bit of 3" rhs (box section) and make the base a wheel rim filled with concrete. Solid but easy to "walk" around.

I've been contemplating using an old steel rim, some 4" pipe and a flat plate to mount. That way it could be rolled on the edge of the rim fairly easily. Knowing me though it will end up with casters that can be popped down with a lever and retract when in position, just cause I end up complicating everything lol

I made mine from an old brake drum off a logging truck. It's a beast and won't tip over when you lean on it to grind something heavy. It's easy to move around the shop with the casters.
