I'm new to plasma cutting. I've found very little in the way of recommendations for settings.
Is the air pressure important for cutting or for cooling the torch or both? What air pressure works best?
Has anyone found an inexpensive source for S45 torch consumables? How often would a person expect to change the cup?

It all depends on the type and thickness of metal you're cutting and the size of your machine (plasma cutter)

ive only used a plasma a few times, most of them at school. Im sure like welders every machine is different but you want to tune the setting to minimize/eliminate the slag, my teachers called it kief but i cant find any info on anyone calling it that so i may remeber wrong.

I think the term is "kerf". That may help your search.
