Hello everyone. I'm new on here. I come from a family farm and I've been welding since I was a kid. I'm taking basic and advanced welding courses in college as electives and I plan to graduate in a few months. With no certifications or work experience, what's the best way to get my foot in the door in a welding shop? I know it's a long shot but do I have any chances with my situation? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Knock on doors. Let them know your background, what type welding experience you have, work history, and provide references for them if they ask. Be prepared to knock on a lot of doors and keep coming back to check with them. The people that keep on coming back are thought of first when help is needed.
