There seems to be a certain spot where the pedal doesn't respond. I'm not going to mess with it, I'm going to get a new one, what do you think is the best foot pedal to replace it with. I just saw Jodys video on the 4 tig welders he was reviewing and the 210EXT was one of them, and he didn't seem to impressed with the foot pedal. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

SSC pedal is probably your best bet right now.

Bear in mind, different makers have different resistance potentiometers in their pedals... Miller's is typically 1K Ohm, and Everlast's, if I recall, is 50K Ohm. Putting an Everlast on a Miller might give you bad accuracy or no response, but putting a Miller on an Everlast could cause damage.

Be sure what you buy is a match. Sites like weldfabulous and weldingcity should be able to cross-reference pedals for your machine.

Thank you. I knew it was up there compared to many other brands.

They use wire 1 and 3 as inverse signal wires with 2 being the common reference voltage IIRC. 1 sweeps 47k to 0, 3 sweeps 0 to 47k. Pull up the PDF user manual off of their website and make sure that you are getting full range in both directions. I had an issue where the lock nut for the potentiometer was loose, allowing the pot to spin as a unit instead of the shaft spinning. This caused an axial load to be placed on the shaft as the pedal was depressed. Everlast sent me a new pot in a few days, and I shortened the shaft to the appropriate length and soldered it in.

*by 1 and 3 I mean the wires on the pot, as viewed from the rear.
